LUMEnergi, a Newark, California-based provider of network-controlled lighting energy management solutions, has raised $6.2m as an initial closing to an extension of its Series B financing round.
The company intends to use the capital for marketing, sales and product development.
Led by President and CEO Barry Weinbaum, LUMEnergi provides a system to control lighting energy and optimize lighting quality in commercial facilities while preserving customers’ investments in lighting infrastructure. Its Executive Software is designed to simplify facility operation by managing any light, many lights or all lights from a single screen. The company’s solution also supports an interface between lighting and other critical building systems, such as HVAC, sharing fixture and sensor level data and enabling participation in Demand Response applications.
