Krush Closes Series A-1 Financing

Krush Inc., a Cambridge, MA-based social curation and commerce platform for action sports brands and products, has closed a Series A-1 financing of undisclosed amount.

The round was led by Raptor Ventures, the venture capital arm of diversified financial services firm Raptor Group, with participation from former investors including TNCV and Boston Seed.

The company has also partnered with Raptor Group business development subsidiary, RaptorAccelerator, to strengthen its commercial infrastructure and expand its customer base from action sports to the global sports market.

Launched to action sports brands in 2011 and led by CEO Gina Ashe, Krush enables its users, in all 50 U.S. states and 170 countries worldwide, to preview products, popularize top picks across their online networks and purchase items that are not yet available in stores.
In turn, Krush’s customer base of over 150 action sports and lifestyle brands, including Nike, Quiksilver, DC, Spy, Oakley, Element and Electric, are able to interact with their consumers, and through crowdsourcing, generate data to forecast demand and drive product development decisions.
