KnowledgeMill Receives £1.5M in Growth Capital

KnowledgeMill, a London, UK-based company developer of a cloud email management software platform, has received £1.5m in growth capital.

Backers include YFM Equity Partners (which made the investment through its managed fund Seraphim Capital), and MMC Ventures.

The company intends to use the funding to expand its team and increase adoption of its products.

Founded in 2009 by content management experts CEO Hisham Anis, Director Server Technology James Allchin and Director Client Technology Marcus Lambert, KnowledgeMill enables automated filing of emails, relating to specific work streams and projects, and collaborative working, allowing all relevant people to view the email.
It allows to store emails and related documents only once, which brings to save significant email infrastructure and storage costs. The service is fully integrated with Microsoft Outlook and customer relationship software such as Salesforce.com and NetSuite.
Clients include legal and other professional services firms, construction and leisure companies. Business partners include EMC, Oracle, Microsoft, Fujitsu and Union Solutions.

In addition to the investment, Peter Norman, former board director at Sophos plc, will join KnowledgeMill’s board as Executive Chairman.
