General Mills Acquires Food Should Taste Good

General Mills has acquired Food Should Taste Good, a Needham Heights, MA-based natural snack foods company, from Sherbrooke Capital.

Following the deal, Food Should Taste Good will become part of Small Planet Foods, General Mills’ natural and organic products business and will join the division’s Cascadian Farm, Muir Glen, and LÄRABAR brands.

Founded in 2006 by Pete Lescoe, Food Should Taste Good was acquired by Sherbrooke Capital in March 2007.

Today, the company is one of the largest natural snack brands in the U.S., and makes natural tortilla chips in a variety of distinct flavors such as Sweet Potato, Lime, Olive, Chocolate, Multigrain, and Jalapeno. Food Should Taste Good’s product portfolio also includes kettle cooked sweet potato chips and other natural snack items.
