ForgeRock, a Lysaker, Norway-based open source vendor of an open identity platform, has raised $7m in series A funding from Accel Partners.
The company intends to use the capital to continue to grow globally.
Led by Founder and CEO Lasse Andresen, ForgeRock offers the I3 Open Platform, which provides customers from start-ups to large Fortune 100 global enterprises with Authentication, Access Management, User Entitlements, Federation, Identity lifecycle management, provisioning and next generation LDAP identity repository, all scaled and proven in production with multi-million user concurrency whether implemented on in-house, private or public cloud infrastructure.
Existing subscription customers include Thomson Reuters, BSkyB, News International, Nokia Siemens Networks, Betfair, AOL, Toyota, Wirecard, Aberdeen Asset Management, Hellenic Telecom, Allianz Insurance, VPS, Capgemini, Norwegian Rail, Ziggo, DNB, California Dept of Justice, Cielo, Nomura, BNP Paribas, and many US and European government departments at both a state and national level.
