DFJ Esprit Plans to Launch Angel Co-Investment Fund

Following UK Budget support for venture capital and angel investing, London-based VC firm DFJ Esprit plans to launch an angel co-investment fund.

The Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) Angel Co-Investment Fund will enable business angels, entrepreneurs and qualifying individuals to invest in funds managed by DFJ Esprit, alongside its institutional funds increasing the availability of capital to the promising European start-ups.

As stated by Simon Cook, CEO, DFJ Esprit, DFJ Esprit plans a short fund raising period, and already has a pipeline of deals which will close from April 2012 onwards. The fund will be managed by Richard Marsh, partner at DFJ Esprit and himself an experienced EIS investor.
