LAI International, a Scarborough, ME-based provider of comprehensive precision engineered finished parts, components and subassemblies for aerospace, power generation, defense, medical, electronics and other advanced technology industries, has been acquired by RLJ Equity Partners.
Monroe Capital LLC supported the acquisition with a $37.1m unitranche facility and made an equity co-investment in the company.
LAI International is a contract manufacturer of precision-engineered finished parts, components and subassemblies for aerospace, power generation, defense, medical, electronics and other advanced technology industries. Its technology, engineering and manufacturing solutions are used to build components for airframes, aircraft engines, power generators, defense systems, medical devices and other mission-critical applications.
The company has developed applications of advanced machining processes, including waterjet cutting and drilling, laser cutting, drilling, welding and heat-treating, EDM drilling, CNC EDM, high-speed EDM, conventional CNC machining, five-axis CNC machining and precision grinding. It also providegage calibration, tooling production, air-flow inspection and additional manufacturing services.
