HCP & Co., a middle-market private equity firm based in Chicago, has acquired Career Training Academy Inc., a career school providing students with professional skills for careers in allied health, for an undisclosed amount.
Mr. Bill Rooney, Career Training Academy’s CEO, partnered with HCP in the acquisition and will take over day-to-day operations.
CTA offers programs in Medical and Dental Assisting, Medical Billing and Coding, and Massage Therapy. It has a 25-year history serving the Pittsburgh healthcare community through three campuses located in the suburbs of New Kensington, Monroeville and North Hills. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and Licensed by The State Board of Private Licensed Schools, Pennsylvania Department of Education.
The investment is designed to help the company grow through both organic initiatives and add-on acquisitions.
