BTI Systems Raises $23M in Equity Funding

BTI Systems, an Ottawa, Canada-based network infrastructure company, has raised $23m in growth equity funding.

The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures.

The company intends to use the capital to continue to expand its direct and channel sales development, marketing, product development and customer service efforts.

Led by President and CEO Steve Waszak, BTI Systems provides Mobile Backhaul, Ethernet Business Services, Internet & Cloud Services, Packet Optical Networking and Data Center Interconnect applications to service and content providers across the globe. The company, which has more than 350 customers, recently opened a new U.S. Headquarters in Littleton, Mass., just outside of Boston.
BTI also operates regional sales, marketing, and R&D centers of excellence throughout the world.
