The Arena Group, a UK-based event services company, has received a £16.5 m growth capital investment.
Backers included MML Capital and Sports Investment Partners (SIP), which have taken a minority stake in the company.
The company plans to use the proceeds from the for further global expansion in the Far East, beyond its current bases in the UK, Portugal, Abu Dhabi, Signapore and Dubai.
Led by CEO Greg Lawless, Arena Europe designs, delivers and project manages all aspects of temporary event overlay working for state visits, royal weddings and major sporting tournaments.
In conjunction Bal Johal has joined Arena’s board of directors. Matthew Wheeler, Managing Partner of SIP, takes over as Chairman.
