Senova Systems Raises $6.7M in Series B Financing

According to a written statement, Senova Systems, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company that is developing a pH sensing technology platform, has raised $6.7m in Series B financing.

The round was led by Phoenix Venture Partners, with participation from Harris & Harris Group and undisclosed existing investors.

The company intends to use the funding for commercialization of its Smart Probe sensor technology and expand ongoing strategic development partnerships.

Led by CEO Lee Leonard, Senova Systems is developing its patented solid-state pH sensor platform, as well as enabling completely new uses for pH sensors in food safety, water safety, medical device, environmental, and agriculture applications. The company’s solid-state mini and micro-sensors can be used to directly measure pH without the need for constant calibration or wet chemical components associated with current pH electrodes.
