S.E.A. Medical Systems Closes $3M Series B Funding with JK&B Capital

S.E.A. Medical Systems, a Santa Clara, CA-based healthtech company focused on safety and management of IV medicine, has closed a $3m Series B funding with JK&B Capital.

In conjunction with the funding, David Kronfeld, JK&B Capital’s chairman, and Barry Dickman, of Quantum Technology Partners, have joined S.E.A.’s board.

The company intends to use the proceeds from the investment to accelerate development of its IV products and expand its technology into additional medical applications.

Led by CEO and co-founder Michael Weickert, S.E.A. Medical provides smart solutions for the safe manufacture, preparation, delivery, and disposal of intravenous and other liquid medications.
The company is developing medical devices to catch life-threatening IV drug errors before they harm patients.

Other backers in S.E.A. Medical include Quantum Technology Partners, New Biology Ventures, and private investors.
