Playmysong, a Finnish start up that provides a based free app and web service allowing users to both play songs in social jukeboxes and to host their own social jukebox experience, has closed an angel funding (of undisclosed amount) and launched in NYC.
The round was led by Helsinki-based accelerator Lifeline Ventures.
Led by co-founder and CEO Rami Korhonen, Playmysong offers both an app on iOS and a website that allow users to remotely play their favorite songs and DJ the music around them while posting a check-in update on Facebook and Twitter. Playmysong enables retailers’, restaurants’, bars’ and cafes’ visitors have a more engaging experience and to enjoy their services longer. The company’s business model is based on selling premium services for participating venues and brands.
