House Party, Inc., an Irvington, NY-based social media company that combines digital media and word-of-mouth marketing with brand-inspired, in-home events, has raised $5.3m in Series C funding.
The round was led by Acadia Woods Partners, LLC.
The company intends to use the capital to continue to expand the business, including investments in sales and marketing initiatives and strategic new hires.
Led by CEO Chris Maher, House Party House Party House Party aims to make it easy for members to have a party their own homes and get access to products of brands, which sponsor the event.
By hosting, users and guests get to try brands’ products and receive a Party Pack without paying or sell anything.
The company’s interactive website then allows members to create their own party page, invite guests, post pictures and videos, have conversations.
The aim of the company is to generate millions of consumer conversations and recommendations, online and off, through its community of social influencers, proprietary digital platform, and memorable in-home events.
