CD Diagnostics, LLC, a Wynnewood (Montgomery County), PA-based start up that develops diagnostic tests for orthopaedic surgeons and rheumatologists, has received a $275k investment from Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania (BFTP/SEP).
Founded by Dr. Carl Deirmengian, MD, and led by CEO Richard Birmeyer, Ph.D., and Michael Behr, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, the company is developing assays for orthopaedic surgeons and rheumatologists to allow them to have a greater diagnostic confidence in joint fluid analysis.
Targeted diseases include rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and osteoarthritis.
CD Diagnostics’ first product in development is CygnaSure™.
