Zentyal Raises over $1M in Funding from Open Ocean Capital

Zentyal, a Zaragoza, Spain-based developer of the Linux based Small Business Server, has raised over $1m in funding from Open Ocean Capital.

Led by CEO Ignacio Correas, Zentyal develops a Linux server of the same name with the aim to provide small and medium businesses an easy-to-use and affordable professional server solution. The company also provides support and services based on Zentyal server either through Authorized Partners or directly to end customers. It has an open-source community of 5,000 members.

The company intends to use the funding to expand in the small and medium business (SMB) server market that is estimated to reach 17.4 million units by the year 2017.
