uTest Completes $17M Series D Funding

uTest, a Southborough, MA-based software testing company, has completed a $17m Series D funding.

The round was led by QuestMark Partners, with participation from previous investors Scale Venture Partners, Longworth Venture Partners, Egan-Managed Capital and Mesco Ltd.
This brings the company’s total funding to more than $37m since 2007.

The company intends to use the funding to open new offices in Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas and Chicago, develop new tools, explore M&A opportunities, recruit additional specialized experts including security testers, linguists and performance engineers as well as expand its testing platform and APIs for third-party developers.

In conjunction with the funding, QuestMark Partner, Tim Krongard, will be joining uTest’s Board of Directors.

Led by CEO Doron Reuveni, uTest provides services that span the entire software development lifecycle — including functional, security, load, localization and usability testing.
