Pan-European investment firm Parcom Capital and the management team are acquiring Moerdijk, the Netherlands-based STAR Group BV from its current shareholders, De Hoge Dennen and Atlas Invest.
STAR is a high-end professional service provider in the oil, gas and power related industries, including the (petro) chemical, midstream and marine & offshore industries.
The transaction, which is still subject to the customary merger approvals and is expected to close in 2011, is intended to enable the company to accelerate its growth and strengthen its international presence.
Founded in 2001 by CEO François Claeijs, STAR deploys highly educated technical professionals in the areas of engineering, project management, construction management, safety management and shutdown & maintenance management. The company currently deploys over 800 specialists on its project at companies in the industry. It is currently active in the Netherlands and Belgium.
