Prezi Closes $14M Series B Financing

Prezi, a Budapest, Hungary-based zooming presentation software, has closed a $14m Series B financing.

The round was led by Accel Partners, with participation from existing investor Sunstone Capital.

The company intends to use the capital to hire talent, expanding its offering across multiple platforms, and widening its global reach.

Founded in 2009 by Adam Somlai-Fischer, Peter Halacsy, and CEO Peter Arvai, Prezi provides a visually captivating presentation software aimed at making sharing ideas more fun and engaging. Known primarily for its cloud-based online presentation software, the company also offers:
– Prezi Desktop for offline editing,
– Prezi Meeting for real-time collaboration, and
– the Prezi VieweriPad app.

In conjunction with the funding, Accel’s Andrew Braccia, will be joining Prezi’s board of directors.

The company has already attracted a global customer base of over 7 million registered users.
