ip.access Closes $15M Funding

ip.access Ltd, a Cambridge, UK-based developer and manufacturer of small cell infrastructure solutions for home, business, or public use, has closed a $15m round of funding.

Backers include existing investors Amadeus Capital Partners, Cisco, Intel Capital, Qualcomm, Rothschild & Cie Gestion, Scottish Equity Partners and TE Connectivity and a major new partner.

The company intends to use the capital to continue to accelerate its small cell product development roadmap and deployment activities.

Led by CEO Simon Brown and CTO Dr Nick Johnson, ip.access manufactures cost-effective picocell and femtocell infrastructure solutions for GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 3G designed to bring IP and cellular technologies together to drive down costs and increase coverage and capacity of mobile networks.
