InContext Solutions, a Chicago provider of web-based 3-D virtual store environments for research, collaborative store planning and e-commerce, has completed a $1.5m round of equity funding.
The round was made by a consortium of backers led by Hyde Park Angels and including AMD (NYSE: AMD), which is investing in the company through its Fusion Fund program.
Led by CEO and co-founder Bob Gillespie, InContext Solutions is a technology and market research firm specializing in online 3-D environment simulations with applications in virtual store research, collaborative store planning, and e-commerce. Its research delivers accurate behavioral and attitudinal insights into shopper behavior, while its collaborative software tools allow companies and their partners to make effective product and store planning, environment design and promotional business decisions.
