CloudSigma Raises Angel Funding

CloudSigma, a Zurich, Switzerland-based pure-cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) provider, has secured a “significant” round of angel funding.

Backers include Anthony Foy, CloudSigma chairman, and Phil Collerton, CloudSigma director.

The company intends to use the capital:
– to build its U.S. cloud infrastructure,
– to provide additional sales support in the U.S., particularly for targeting large enterprise customers,
– to further advance the flexibility, control and customization of its pure-IaaS, through its in-house technology team, and
– to explore future U.S. initiatives, which include scouting an East coast TierIV data center location as the first in a series of additional planned locations.

Led by CEO Patrick Baillie, CloudSigma offers enterprise-class cloud servers and cloud hosting solutions, both in Europe and the U.S. With its service, customers can provision processing, storage, networks and other fundamental computing resources as they please, as well as easily deploy any operating system or application with full root/administrative access.
