Cloudability Closes $1.1M Seed Funding Round

Cloudability, a Portland, Oregon-based company that provides a solution for businesses to manage and monitor all of their cloud costs, has closed a $1.1m seed funding.

The round was led by Trinity Ventures and Walden VC, with participation from a local consortium of Portland-based angel investors, which committed $255K, and other individuals.

The company intends to use the funding to expand its engineering team, accelerate platform development and additional cloud-service integrations.

Founded in 2011 by CEO Mat Ellis, J.R. Storment and Jon Frisby, Cloudability provides users with a way to monitor cloud costs offering access to cloud billing and usage data from over 80 providers (like AWS, Rackspace and Heroku) via a JSON and XML API, and connects to any business, financial system or web app.
The company is part of the Amazon Web Service (AWS) Solution Provider program.
