Vyatta, a Belmont, CA-based provider of software-based network operating system for physical, virtual and cloud infrastructures, has completed a $12m funding.
The round was led by HighBAR Partners, with participation from existing investors JPMorgan, Arrowpath Venture Partners and Citrix Systems.
This funding brings Vyatta’s total funding to date to more than $45m.
The company intends to use the funding to scale its sales and engineering efforts. To this end, Vyatta plans to leverage HighBAR’s broad network and operational experience to accelerate customer adoption and acquisition worldwide.
Led by CEO Kelly Herrell, Vyatta delivers a software-based network operating system that is portable to standard x86 hardware as well as common virtualization and cloud computing platforms.
Customers include small enterprise and Fortune 500 enterprises.
In conjunction with the funding, HighBAR Managing Partners Roy Thiele-Sardina and John Kim are joining the company’s board of directors.
