simplifyMD Raises $4.5M Series A Funding

simplifyMD, an Alpharetta, GA-based electronic health records (EHR) provider, has raised a $4.5m Series A funding.

The round was led by Intersouth Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to to build out its sales team (http://www.simplifymd.com/job-opportunities) and pursue market opportunities.

In conjunction with the funding, John Glushik of Intersouth Partners will also join the company’s Board of Directors, along with healthcare industry veteran Michael Brozino, which was also named as President.

Founded in 2006, simplifyMD provides physician practices with a ONC-ATCB (Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Testing and Certification Body) certified, web-based platform that offers EHR, medical-grade document management and Patient Health Record technologies.
