Pangalore Receives Series A funding

Pangalore, a San Jose, California- and Seoul, Korea-based newly formed social games developer, has received a Series A funding of undisclosed amount.

The backer is NHN Investment Corporation, a venture investment arm of South Korea’s Internet company.

Led by CEO and co-founder Brian Kang and CPO Doyon Kim, Pangalore is dedicated to creating universal social games that can be played across any platform at any time with progress continually saved and updated. The company is launching with a Facebook gamezone offering WildWest Solitaire and ArtFit, two HTML5-based casual social games accessible across PC, smartphone, and tablet platforms. They will be followed by three to four additional HTML5 games before the end of the year (including Bubble Prince and Pop the Candy), with deeper strategy and roleplaying games utilizing Unity 3D coming in early 2012.
