OpDemand, a Boulder, CO-based provider of innovative solutions for agile IT operations, raised $1m in an initial round of funding.
Among the others, backers include Zor Gorelov, CEO of SpeechCycle and a serial entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in the software industry.
The company intends to use the capital to bring to market its proprietary Command & Control technology (C2), which just launched in Public Beta.
C2 aims to automate the deployment and management of raw cloud computing infrastructure, facilitating a wide range of cloud-based services and applications.
Developers, operations engineers and system administrators have access to a library of customizable C2 Templates, which currently contain blueprints for a variety of popular cloud-based services, including Ruby on Rails, Django, Node.js and WordPress.
The company is led by its three co-founders
– CTO Gabriel Monroy,
– CEO Joshua Schnell, and
– Yoni Gorelov.
