Labcyte Receives $196K Grant from the National Cancer Institute

Labcyte Inc., a Sunnyvale, CA-based global life science instrumentation company, has received a $196K grant from the National Cancer Institute.

The award will be used to fund a collaborative cancer biomarker validation program with the Canary Center of Stanford University.
The program intends to develop an advanced system for early cancer detection by integrating a suite of biotechnologies that includes Labcyte proprietary acoustic liquid handling for arraying and MALDI mass spectrometry preparation.

With global sales and support, Labcyte provides its instruments to top and small to mid-size pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, contract research organizations and academic institutions working across a wide spectrum of biology including drug discovery, genomics, proteomics, diagnostics, imaging mass spectrometry and live cell transfer.
