Koupon Media Raises $2M in Series A Funding

Koupon Media, a Dallas, TX-based developer of a platform www.kou.pn for delivering digital coupons to consumers via mobile devices, has raised $2m in Series A funding.

The round was led by DFJ Mercury, with participation from the Matthew Pritzker Company.

The company intends to use the funding to further develop its technology and bring it to retailers, consumer product brands and marketing agencies.

Founded in 2011 by mobile technology entrepreneurs CEO T.J. Person and Scott Hutchinson, Koupon Media develops a mobile coupon delivery, fulfillment and analytics platform for consumer product brands. Single-use coupons are delivered via QR code, bar code, text message, email, or social-media websites.
The company’s fulfillment platform, which has been integrated with a variety of retailer point-of-sale (POS) systems, provides brands both product control and detailed analytics.

Koupon Media also operates offices in Chicago.
