Kammerling’s Raises £180K through Crowdcube

Kammerling’s, a London, UK-based company behind a ginseng-based alcoholic spirit, has raised £180k through the equity crowdfunding platform Crowdcube.

The company, which has raised funding from 85 backers (read here) in return for a 23% stake, intends to use the capital to expand globally.

Developed and launched in April 2011 by ex-bartender, author and drinks expert Alex Kammerling, Kammerling’s supplies a lower-proof spirit (33% Alcohol By Volume). whose taste arises from ginseng, fresh grapefruit, manuka honey and a secret blend of 42 other natural botanical ingredients.

The product is already popular with 5-star hotels, restaurants, cocktail bars and wholesalers across London and has already secured international sales.
