Advanced ICU Care, a St. Louis , Missouri-based independent provider of tele-intensive care unit (ICU) programs, has closed a new round of equity funding.
The financing, whose amount remained undisclosed, was led by Trident Capital, with participation from existing investors Versant Ventures, Arboretum Ventures, and Catalyst Capital.
The company intends to use the capital to rapidly deploy its solution and expand adoption in more hospitals.
Founded in 2004 and led by CEO Mary Jo Gorman, M.D., M.B.A., Advanced ICU Care provides high-quality critical care to patients in the intensive care unit through experienced clinicians, supported by telemedicine technology and a process improvement program. Hospital ICUs are linked with Advanced ICU Care’s Monitoring Center, allowing Advanced ICU Care’s board-certified intensivists (critical care medicine physicians) and critical care nurses to monitor hospital ICU patients from a central location.
In conjunction with the funding, John Reardon, Managing Director with Trident Capital, will join the Advanced ICU Care’s Board of Directors.
