OVIA, a San Francisco, CA-based video recruitment platform, has closed its first funding round.

The investment was led by DCM, with participation from Dave McClure of 500 Startups.

The company intends to use the funding to further enhance its technology platform, expand sales and marketing, and add employees to its headquarters.

Launched in January 2011 by CEO Rodrigo Martinez, OVIA has developed and provides companies such as Groupon, Intel, and Salesforce with multimedia recruitment screening technology to find qualified candidates. The platform allows companies to record their questions in advance of the interview and provides job candidates with insight into the organization’s brand, values and culture, during the entire process.

In conjunction with the funding, David Chao, co-founder and general partner, DCM, will join the company’s Board of Directors.
