L’Usine à Design Raises €4M in Second Funding Round

L’Usine à Design, a French e-commerce platform and community for bespoke designer furniture and interior design, has raised €4m in a second funding round.

Investors include Crédit Agricole Private Equity, and existing backers CM-CIC Capital Privé and Olivier Mathiot, who is the co-founder and Marketing Director of PriceMinister.

The company intends to use the funds to develop its products and services in France and abroad.

Launched in September 2009, L’Usine à Design is an e-commerce platform and community offering designer and personalizable products. It produces its collections and pieces all over the world, primarily in Asia and Europe.

Led by Emilie Gobin, Chairman of the Executive Board, the company also provides an online simulator that allows users to personalize products.
L’Usine à Design currently has 23 employees.
