JolieBox, a French online cosmetics retailer, has raised €1m in funding.
The round was led by Alven Capital, with participation from some business angels.
The company intends to use the funds to finance its European expansion.
Founded in 2011 and and led by CEO and Business Development Manager Quentin Vacher, JolieBox delivers every month to its subscribers (for a flat fee of €13) a “Beauty Box” with a selection of 4 to 6 cosmetic products (including body care, skincare, hair care, fragrances) of high-end brands in “travel” size.
The company collaborates with 40 French and international cosmetic brands including Lancôme, Laura Mercier, Caudalie, Payot, L’Occitane, Bourjois, Kiehl’s etc.
