GroSocial Closes $450K Seed Funding Round

GroSocial, an Orem, Utah-based developer and provider of social media marketing software that helps enterprises and small-to-medium businesses expand their brands and find new customers through leading social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, has closed a $450k seed funding round.

The round was led by Kickstart Seed Fund, with participation from Monarch Ventures, Rock & Hammer Ventures and other angel investors including Curt Roberts.

The company intends to use the funding to refine its core product line and to develop tools for additional social networks.

Led by CEO Zach Mangum, GroSocial recently released its Customer Enterprise service which is built on its flagship Customizer platform and enables major organizations to expand their brands by running custom-designed promotional tabs across their partner networks on Facebook.
In addition, the solution enables partner companies to leverage organizations’ brand by promoting sales, running customized contests or promotions, distributing coupons or adding highlight videos.

In conjunction with the funding, JD Gardner, Monarch Ventures founder and managing director, Chris Russell, managing director of Rock & Hammer Ventures, and Curt Roberts, have joined GroSocial’s board.
