Six Degrees Group Receives £60M from Penta Capital

Six Degrees Group, a London, UK-based newly launched managed data services provider, has received £60m in funding from Penta Capital.

Formed by British entrepreneur Alastair Mills, who sold SpiriTel Plc for £37m less than a year ago, Six Degrees Group already employs almost 100 people, including Mills’ former SpiriTel colleagues, and is continuing to hire new staff.

The group, which provides a suite of innovative applications for compliance, information security, change management, BYOD, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and business optimisation, serves over 1,200 business customers including some of the City’s best known investment banks and corporate lawyers and brands like ICAP, Linklaters and GAB Robins.

Six Degrees Group targets circa 90,000 companies in the UK mid-market who employ between 50 and 1,000 staff.

In addition to Mills, the company’s board includes:
– Ronnie Smith, CFO;
– Steve Maine, Non-Executive Deputy Chairman;
– Torquil Macnaughton, Non-Executive Director.
