Carmine, a London, UK-based subscription beauty discovery service, launched its website in the UK, and raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Accel Partners.
The service provides users with a platform to discover and test products from some of the most popular and upcoming brands. Members receive five beauty product miniatures picked by experts to sample each month for just £10 +p&p.
For brands, it represents a new marketing channel to interact directly with active consumers.
They also have the option of providing additional details about their beauty needs and preferences via Carmine’s beauty quiz. The result will enable Carmine to personalise the entire experience and provide the most relevant products to users in the future.
Led by Founder and CEO Michiel Kotting, Carmine intends to launch its service in the UK and expand in other European countries soon.
Accel will help the company to grow in this phase.
