AMUT Receives €10M from Fondo Italiano di Investimento

AMUT SpA, a Novara, Italy-based manufacturer of plants for the extrusion of thermoplastic materials, has received a €10m equity investment from Fondo Italiano di Investimento.

As a result of the transaction, Fondo Italiano will own a minority stake in the company.

Founded in 1958 and led by CEO Mauro Drappo, AMUT manufactures single screw extruders, twin screw extruders and complete extrusion lines for various applications, and a wide series of thermoforming machines. Since 1985, the company is also engaged in the planning, manufacturing, assembling and starting-up of recycling plants for industrial and post-consumer thermoplastic scraps.

AMUT intends to use the proceeds from the investment to grow the business and continue to expand internationally.

Today, the company employs 165 people and has a turnover of €47m (84% from abroad).
