Xtium, a Wilmington, DE-based provider of virtual private cloud service solutions, has raised $11.5m in Series A funding from OpenView Venture Partners.
The company intends to use the funds to scale sales and marketing, further build out the team, expand the partnership ecosystem, and accelerate adoption of its flagship virtual private cloud services.
Led by co-founder and president Peter B. Ritz, Xtium provides virtual private cloud services to businesses. Its portfolio of cloud services includes virtual disaster recovery, virtual hosting, virtual desktop infrastructure, smart connectivity and network/user-experience acceleration.
In conjunction with the funding, Scott Maxwell, Senior Managing Director at OpenView, will join Xtium’s board of directors.
