Spredfast Raises $12M in Series B Funding

Spredfast, an Austin, Texas-based social media management system provider, has raised $12m in Series B funding.

The round was led by InterWest Partners , with participation from lead Series A investor Austin Ventures (read here).

The company intends to use the funds to expand its platform.
Led by CEO Rod Favaron, Spredfast offers a social business software that provides a unified platform for enterprises and agencies to manage, monitor and analyze their social media programs and the effectiveness of each piece of content, across multiple social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs and Foursquare.
Customers include AOL, Nokia, Bayer, Convio, HomeAway, Porter Novelli and Spring Creek Group.

In conjunction with the investment, Doug Pepper, General Partner at InterWest, will join Rod Favaron, Mike Dodd and founder Ken Cho on the company’s Board of Directors.
