SaveUp Raises $2M in Seed Capital

SaveUp, a nationwide rewards program for personal savings, has raised $2m in seed capital.

Investors include BlueRun Ventures and True Ventures.

Founded in 2011 by Priya Haji (CEO) and Sammy Shreibati (CTO), both of whom are experienced Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, SaveUp rewards people for saving money and paying down their debts. It rewards every positive financial action, which offers consumers the chance to win valuable prizes. The program also has the potential to help financial institutions build loyalty by supporting their customer’s efforts to rebuild their assets.

In conjunction with the funding, Jonathan Ebinger of BlueRun Ventures joins SaveUp’s Board of Directors; Christiaan Vorkink of True Ventures joins as a Board observer.
