igobubble Raises Funding

igobubble, an Irish new location-aware social iPhone app, has closed a funding round of undisclosed amount that values the company at $2.5m.

Backers include Black Pearl Capital Partners, Ern Capital, and a private investor.

Co founded in 2010 by Jade Burton and CEO Kieran Galvin, igobubble lets users create virtual “bubbles” with their iPhones, which can contain images, thoughts, videos or any kind of digital media. Other users can find the bubbles, copy, clone, edit and move them and all people who interact with a bubble form a people chain.
