Zulily Raises $43M in Funding

Zulily, a Seattle, WA-based website featuring daily deals on boutique brands for moms, babies and kids, has received $43m in funding.

The round, which brings the total funds raised to date to $53.6m (see related news), was led by Meritech Capital Partners, with participation from existing investors.

Zulily plans to use the funds to hire more employees and expand marketing and growth initiatives.

In conjunction with the funding, Craig Sherman of Meritech is joining the company’s board.

Co-founded by CEO Darrell Cavens and Mark Vadon, Zulily every day features over 15 new exclusive sales events offering discounts on items including organic t-shirts, celebrity style apparel, high quality toys, etc. Brands include Crocs, phil &teds, Corky & Co., Melissa & Doug, Baby Nay, Kate Quinn Organics, and Lex Modern.

The company has also launched its first mobile app for iPhone.
