Restoration Robotics, Inc., a Mountain View, CA-based medical device company, has raised $41m in Series C financing.

The round was led by Clarus Ventures, with participation from existing investors Sutter Hill Ventures, Alloy Ventures and Interwest Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to bring its technology to market.

It combines advanced features including an image-guided robotic arm, special imaging technologies, small dissection punches, and a computer interface.
The system received 510K clearance from the Food & Drug Administration in April 2011.
