GoodData, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of a cloud business intelligence (BI) platform, has closed a $15m new venture capital financing.
The round, which brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $28.5m, was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from existing investors General Catalyst Partners, Fidelity Growth Partners and Windcrest Partners.
GoodData intends to use the funds to create new analytics apps and expand its partner network.
In conjunction with the funding, John O’Farrell, General Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, and Dave Girouard, President of Google Enterprise, will join GoodData’s Board of Directors.
Launched in 2009 by CEO Roman Stanek, GoodData’s cloud-based BI platform provides operational dashboards, advanced reporting and data on-demand warehousing to over 2,500 companies including Enterasys Networks, Capgemini, and Software AG. It is also embedded into offerings from software-as-a-service and cloud providers like Zendesk, Get Satisfaction and Pardot.
