Gestión de Capital Riesgo del País Vasco Invests €4M in Four Companies

Last July, Basque Government backed venture capital firm Gestión de Capital Riesgo del País Vasco SGECR closed four transaction totalling €4m.

The investment includes:
Sagola S.A.U., a Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain-based designer and manufacturer of coating systems for professionals, which has received €1m. The company has 80 employees.
GMTK, a Gipuzkoa, Spain-based machine-tool sector company focused on designing and manufacturing vertical and inclined bed multi-tasking machines, for machining complex high value parts for sectors such as energy and aeronautics, raised €1.125m. GMTK has 15 employees.
Goialde, a Gipuzkoa, Spain-based manufacturer of high-precision machining services for the Machine Tool, Aerospace and related sectors and supplier of quality components to OEMs in the Automotive and Hydraulics industries, has received €750k. The company employs 38 people.
– Azcue y Cia, an Azpeitia, Spain-based furniture designer and manufacturer, which has received €1m. The company has 110 workers.

Founded in 1985 by the Basque Government as part of the Sociedad para la Promoción y Reconversión Industrial (SPRI), Gestión de Capital Riesgo del País Vasco SGECR, S.A. aims to promote and develop venture capital activity in the Basque Country.
