Clipsource, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company that operates an online marketplace for news videos, has raised SEK4m in funding.
Backers include Almi Invest and a group of angel investors.
The company intends to use the funds to further develop the marketplace and expand internationally. In 2011-2012, it plans to introduce Clipsource to news publishers all over Europe.
Launched in 2009 by an experienced team of media entrepreneurs and led by CEO Dan Willstrand, Clipsource allows media companies to buy, sell or share videos produced in-house or sourced from viewers and readers. It is already used by more than 170 media companies.
