BuildingIQ, a Palo Alto, California- and Rushcutters Bay, Australia-based energy management software company, has been awarded a $1.2m grant from Commercialisation Australia.
BuildingIQ intends to use the funding to further develop and deliver its SaaS-based optimization technology across portfolios, partners and geographies.
Founded in 2009 and led by CEO Mike Zimmerman, BuildingIQ provides facility owners, managers and occupants of commercial buildings with an energy management system that predicts energy demand and directly adjusts heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system parameters to continuously optimize energy use.
Customers among others include Argonne National Laboratory, Investa Property Group, The City of Perth (Australia), and Lend Lease.
