BabbaCo, Inc., a Chicago, IL- online baby products retailer, has closed a $1.2m first financing.
The round was led by Lightbank, with participation from with Ron Conway and David Lee’s SV Angel.
Created in in 2007 by CEO Jessica Kim, BabbaCo develops functional products designed to allow parents to engage with their children in an educational way. The company intends to use the funds to launch BabbaBox, a monthly subscription box that integrates physical materials with know-how content designed to help parents do educational and interactive activities with their kids.
