Antrad Medical, a Huddinge, Sweden-based company that develops equipment for plasma thawing, has received a SEK7.25m in funding.

Investors include STING Capital, which committed SEK1,5M, Innovationsbron and business angels.

The company intends to use the capital to bring its product to markets.

Led by CEO Kurt Högnelid and CTO Lars Ekemar, Antrad provides blood banks all over the world with a device for thawing and warming of blood plasma in five minutes.
The warming/thawing procedure involves that a bag with frozen plasma is put in a disposable container (field equalizer) and then placed in the device where the warming or thawing will be performed. The container will also be developed and marketed by Antrad Medical and its partners.
